From Here to Eternity

This weekend Trevor and I were able to go through the temple Friday night for our endowments. We had a lot of support and were able to go out to dinner with most of our support at Sizzler. Then on Saturday morning we were able to be sealed to each other and then have Halle sealed into our eternal family. They were both sacred experiences so I don't want to put up any details, but I wanted to include our pictures from our sealing day.

Halle Blessing day

This Last Sunday Trevor blessed Halle. He did a great job on the blessing.

Halle is a month old and she has been a joy to our family. I don't know what I would do with out her.

Trevor took Halle to her very first truck show. He even got pictures of her on this yellow truck. That just made his day.

Pediatric Center Fun Run

Trevor and I took Halle to the Pediatric Center Fun Run. It was a new experience, but fun. The pediatricians office does this every year and all of their patients are invited to participate whether they are in strollers or run or walk. Trevor pushed Halle in the stroller for the race. After the race every child gets a medal and a prize. This years prize consisted of: sun hat, granola bar, trail mix, water bottle, and sunglasses. Halle is small for all of the stuff, but she'll grow into her hat, glasses, and using the water bottle.

Halle Joanne Thomas

Halle Joanne Thomas joined our family Saturday, August 8, 2009.
She weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and is 21.5 inches long.

She is home and we are all doing well. She has had a touch of jaundice, but otherwise has been a joy to have in our home. She has lots of visitors and we are still getting used to each other, so this is all for now.
Welcome to the world Halle.

Her favorite position. A fist in the eye.

Happy Birthday Trevor!

Trevor's birthday was on the 12th of July, but we didn't celebrate it with his family until this weekend. We went to his sister's house for dinner and cake and ice cream. Trevor got to open presents from his family. He got jeans, a book, a bag for church, a new flavor of Oreo's, and a tie. We had lots of fun. I also had my baby showers this weekend. I don't have the pictures with me now, so I'll have to add them later. The baby got spoiled with lots of clothes, blankets, stroller, swing, car seat, toys, wipes, and bathing supplies. We had a great weekend!

Trevor's cool cake that his awesome little sister made. :-)

Trevor with his cake and presents. Can you tell he loves having his picture taken?

Another shot. He wouldn't even look at the camera.

These are some of the things I received at my baby shower, but I will be adding more pictures later. Sometimes Trevor's little sister helps update the blog and these are the only pictures she has because she made all of these things for our baby.

Camping

Trevor's nephew Martin fell down the hill and got splinters in his hand. Trevor had to dig one out with a safety pin.

Big old tears and "Please Uncle Trevor, no more pokes!"

Leprechaun trap

So, this weekend was busy and we had lots to get done, but Trevor took the time to help our nephew Wyatt build a leprechaun trap. It was Trevor's ingenuity that finally made the trap work.

Perfecting the trap roof.

A rainbow over the windows to lure the leprechaun in.

The finished product.

Good Luck Wyatt!

Nine Words Women Use

I just couldn't resist forwarding it onto everyone I know and of couse...posting it on my blog! I hope all the men reading it, ENJOY!!!!!NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

(1) Fine : This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes : If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch TV before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing : This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead : This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh : This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That's Okay : This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks : A woman is thanking you..do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome'. That will bring on a 'whatever'.

(8) Whatever : Is a woman's way of saying Up Yours!

(9) Don't worry about it, I'll do it : Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.
